LANAI ELOPEMENTS

If you love an epic view and a distinct lack of crowds, then you should definitely be considering a Lanai Elopement. The island of Lanai is a unique experience all to its own. This island is far less traveled than it’s neighbors and you won’t find any huge crowds or tall buildings here. Though it’s small, it packs a ton of beautiful scenery into that tiny space. You’ll have an easy time driving to different spots! There is also one of the best hotels in the islands on Lanai! The Four Seasons is probably one of the most tropical, beautiful places I’ve seen. It has such an amazing vibe and is a perfectly relaxing choice for part of your elopement trip.

Planning an elopement in Lanai allows you to really get creative and think outside the typical box of Kauai or Maui, more popular elopement choices. Lanai boasts some of the same gorgeous red rock as Kauai without the throngs of tourists.  You can even have an off-road adventure on Lanai!

So what are some good reasons to elope in Lanai?

1. The coastal scenery can’t be beat. And there’s a really cool story to the spot pictured right!
2. You can let your adventurous side roam free.
3. The Four Seasons Lanai makes an incredible honeymoon spot.
4. You can go for a four-wheel drive adventure into the deserts of Mars (aka Garden of the Gods).
5. You will definitely have a lot of these locations pretty much to yourself.
6. You’ll get smaller towns without any tall buildings or kitschy tourist traps.
7. There is a Cat Sanctuary!! Seriously, so cool.
8. You can dive in Lanai’s underwater cathedrals.
9. There are some epic hiking trails here.
10. The snorkeling is ridiculously good.

Sound like fun?

YOUR LANAI ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

The island of Lanai is actually one of my favorites despite it’s tiny size and even more remote feel than some of the other islands. Being a Lanai elopement photographer specializing in adventurous elopements on the island is so special to me! I create unique elopement days that allow couples to have an absolute blast while soaking up the natural beauty of this island. I document these wild elopements with authenticity and heart.

I live here in the islands with my little family; a corgi pup named Maebel, two parrots Hunter + Finnley, and my husband Brent. We’ve definitely embraced island life, spending our free time hiking, snorkeling, and getting in the ocean any chance we get! I’m a pretty easy going person and have a knack for helping others to feel comfortable. It’s part of what my couples say makes it so effortless to have me there capturing their elopement day.

I connected with Lanai the moment I stepped off the plane onto this unique island. I really love to share it with others, playing tour guide as a part of elopements. I craft honest adventures that are anything but common here on Kauai. Curious?

LANAI ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Choosing a Lanai elopement photographer to capture your day is such an important decision when it comes to planning your elopement. Since elopement photographers are so deeply involved in your day, it”s pretty vital that you connect with them as a person. You will be spending quite a bit of time together planning your elopement and photographing it when the day arrives. Your elopement photographer is also gifted with the venture of turning the moments + memories of your day into priceless photographs that you’ll hold onto for a lifetime.

So what are some things you should consider when searching for a Lanai elopement photographer? Initially, you’ll want to make sure you connect with their work. Does it speak to you? Do you find it beautiful? Are the colors and edits your style? If so, you’ll next want to learn a little about them. Can you picture hanging out with them? Something else to consider is that while you can hire anyone from anywhere, there are some benefits to hiring a local. Local Lanai elopement photographers are immersed in the environment and more knowledgeable of the islands, they won’t have to come from a distance, and you are supporting the local economy which is really important for a remote island. There are a lot of quirks for Lanai permitting since this island is privately owned. Hiring a local will ensure that things get done right for you. Last, but definitely not least, make sure you hire someone who has a heart for this work. Bringing someone with a passion for creating incredible elopement experiences along for the adventure will ensure that you have an amazing time with even better pictures to remember it by.
