OAHU ELOPEMENTS

Oahu is a seriously fun island. If you’re looking for a mix of tropical paradise and urban adventures, then this is definitely the island for you! Oahu boasts it’s beautiful, ultra-relaxed North Shore with iconic surf town Haleiwa and is home to surf competitions like the Billabong Pipe Master’s. It also has an adventurous side, with no shortage of epic hikes that will take you up into the clouds on the ridges of volcanic mountains. As if that’s not enough to make you want to visit, it’s also home to the most remote major city in the world: Honolulu. It’s the perfect island to hike by day and go out by night. A great place for a relaxing day on pristine white sand beaches and an exciting evening dining at some of the best restaurants. You can also shop to your heart’s content either at small boutiques with local goods in Kailua or at name brand stores over in Waikiki.

Planning an Oahu elopement will not only allow you to not only have a crazy beautiful elopement location but it will also give you tons of places to celebrate afterward. There are sooo many craft breweries, cool restaurants, luaus, and the like to make sure you have a great time after saying your vows. Choose an Oahu elopement if you want a mix of the city with tropical beaches.

Here are a few more amazing reasons to choose the island of Oahu:

1. The North Shore gives that quintessential surfer town feel with plenty of shave ice, surf shops, and pretty beaches.
2. Some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii is here. Swim with turtles, dolphins, or even sharks!
3. Disney fans have a whole paradise to visit with Disney’s Aulani Resort.
4. Waikiki is fun to visit just for the day, but there are so many other great spots on the island.
5. There are tons of white sand beaches so you will definitely have your pick of spots to relax in the sun.
6. The botanical gardens are incredible.
7. The hikes range from easy trips with pretty views to seven hour climbs into the mountains.
8.
SALT Kaka’ako is home to some of the best coffee, shave ice, cute shops, and fun eats.
9. Black Sheep Cream Co. — Just go, you won’t regret it!
10. Experiencing the drive over the H3 is mind-blowing.

Sound like fun?

Oahu has both cliffside views and tropical forests perfect for an elopement ceremony.

YOUR OAHU ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Hey there! I’m Randi, an adventure elopement photographer based on the island of Oahu. I’ve made it my mission to help create elopement days that are as unique as the couple. It’s my goal to make sure that couples to have the best time while soaking up the natural beauty of this island. I document each elopement with heart and authenticity.

My guy and I live on this pretty little island with our corgi Maebel and our two parrots, Hunter + Finnley. We have definitely come to love island life, getting outdoors as much as we can to hike, snorkel, and just jump in the ocean whenever possible.

My easy going nature and warmth help couples to feel safe to be themselves around me and my approach to photography is pretty different. Instead of poses, I like to give couples space to interact with each other. This allows me to capture real moments + emotions.

I’ve loved Oahu since the moment I first arrived. While many tend to think of Waikiki, I think more of the beautiful vistas, fun hikes, mountains, gardens, and the incredible snorkeling. It’s my joy to help share all of the amazing sides of Oahu with visitors.

OAHU ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Finding your Oahu elopement photographer is going to be one of the biggest choices that you’ll make when it comes to planning your elopement. This is because elopement photographers are so deeply involved in the elopement day, helping to plan, capture, and facilitate things from start to finish. That’s exactly why it is so important that you connect with them as a person. You’re going to be spending quite a bit of time together planning your elopement and photographing it when the day arrives. Your elopement photographer is also gifted with the venture of turning the moments + memories of your day into priceless photographs that you’ll hold onto for a lifetime.

So, what are some things to think about when you’re looking for an Oahu elopement photographer? From the early stages, it’s important that you connect with and love their work. A photographer’s portfolio is a reflection of their art and can give you an idea of the images you’re likely to receive from them. You’ll want to make sure you love their style and then once you know that’s a good fit, you’ll want to find out what it’s like to work with them. How do they seem to approach elopements? It’s great to find someone with a love for planning and photographing elopements so that you can trust them to be your guide. That leads into the next thing to look for: local knowledge. There are a lot of complexities to the Hawaiian islands and finding someone who is very knowledgeable will ensure you have a great experience! I’m always a fan of hiring local because you support the community here in Hawaii that way.
