Wandering in Paris
I have such fond memories of this day. I met Shana + Dmitri at Place du Trocadéro on the chilliest of Paris mornings, we just had to get a few shots of them enjoying the Eiffel Tower. Shana has lived in Paris for a couple of years for work, so I just had to ask if you can ever get over the Eiffel Tower. I wanted to know if the sense of wonder you get from looking up at it fades over time. She says it doesn’t. I can believe that.
These two met through a friend and their affection for one another grew quickly. You can just see the effortless connection they share. It’s as beautiful as looking out over this city.
They have this adorable habit of walking together tangled up, Shana hugging in close.
Vin Chaud + Love in Montmartre
After having some fun by the Eiffel, we decided to head for Montmartre. I had not yet been to that part of Paris and they wanted to show me around some of their favorite spots! There’s something I love so much about getting to experience a new place with people who love it.
This little piece of Paris turned out to be one of my favorites. The view is amazing from up here!
And did I mention that the Sacré-Cœur basilica is freaking gorgeous? No? Well, it is.
We strolled the cute little streets surrounding the basilica, taking in the art from street vendors and sipping on hot mulled wine, it was the best. Later, we chased pigeons around and laughed at how crazy they are.
We also made sure to find one of Shana’s favorite murals, I’m so glad we did.
We even made a stop at Le mur des je t’aime, the Wall of Love. This pretty space of lava tiles has ‘I love you’ written 311 times in 250 languages.
I will forever love this day we spent in Paris together. If you’re traveling to Paris and want to schedule a couple’s shoot there, get in touch! I’m always happy to visit this city and would love to capture your proposal or engagement! I also offer destination wedding packages for Paris ♥
